The Hungarian Culture Week will bring the best of the artistic spirit of Hungarians to Albania from September 2 to 6. For one week, Albanians will have the opportunity to know and experience the rich cultural heritage of Hungary through a diverse program of events, shows and exhibitions.

The festivities began on Monday in a press conference held at the Pyramid of Tirana. For the third consecutive year, the Hungarian Cultural Week is supported by One Albania, part of 4iG group, the largest Hungarian investor in Albania. The CEO of One Albania, Brano Djurovic, expressed his enthusiasm for the festival, highlighting the importance of fostering connections through cultural and technological collaborations.

"It is a pleasure that as we try to improve the telecommunications landscape in Albania, we can also be close to the community by supporting cultural and artistic events, woven from the threads of two nations that share a long history of friendship and cooperation", said Djurovic.

Simultaneously with the opening of the festival, the exhibition of the Hungarian artist Yvette Botz, known for her expressive works that uniquely transform glass into stunning sculptures, was opened. On the honour of this exhibition Botz had created a special sculpture of our national hero, Skanderbeg.

In addition to the exhibition, a series of live concerts will be held this week, as well as traditional performances by the folk group "Szinvavölgyi Néptáncműhely" in Italia Square. There will also be sporting and innovative activities such as "Chess 'n Jazz", as well as workshops with contemporary Hungarian and Albanian artists.

Speaking at the press conference, the Hungarian Deputy Head of Mission Ádám Lovassy expressed his joy about this diverse program designed to give a taste of Hungarian art, but also to deepen cultural ties between the two nations.

"I would like to invite the Albanian public to join us tonight in Italia Square, where a very famous Hungarian group will take the stage to perform typical folk dances, mixed with modern elements. Our series of activities will not only extend to Tirana, but also to other cities such as Vlora, Durrës and Elbasan. We are very proud that for several years in a row we also go to other cities of Albania. We will have an exhibition at the Pyramid, at the blue cube, as well as the group of chess activities, the Rubik's cube, but also an exhibition with paintings and glass works," said Hungarian Deputy Ambassador Lovassy.

The Hungarian Culture Week will end on September 6 with a magical violin quartet performance at the Pyramid of Tirana.
