Ex-ALBtelecom clientele successfully migrated into the robust high-quality network

As ONE Albania concludes the final steps of the merging, the biggest telecommunication company unified its network. On the last days 450 thousand clients from ex ALBtelecom network have been successfully migrated into ONE network. This procedure was a unique and important technical operation, never done before in the country.

“We proudly announce the successful completion of one of the most complex and historic processes in the Albanian telecommunications industry, the migration of clients of ALBtelecom into ONE network” – said Ilir Duka, CTO of ONE Albania.

The main reason behind this migration was to unify the quality networks for all clients. Now, migrated customers receive better quality of services, including faster internet speeds, clearer voice calls, and more reliable network in terms of coverage and capacity.

One Albania presents today the biggest mobile network in Albania, with 1,100 coverage stations countrywide. That means that there are more cell towers in a particular area, which lead to better network coverage and connectivity for mobile devices. Therefore, customers enjoy a stronger signal and data transfer rates.

Ilir Duka, CTO of One explained latest initiative for higher quality. “As we are constantly expanding the capacity and coverage of our network in cities, countryside and everywhere in between we have also increased by 30% the internet speeds for our mobile customers by investing to enable 40% more frequency bandwidth in most of the urban and suburban areas”

During the last three years ONE Albania network is transformed through large investments, making it the most modern network in the country. 4iG Group, Hungarian owners of ONE Albania have confirmed future plans for investment and innovation, in relation with the network both fixed and mobile, including further steps towards 5G and IoT Technologies.

While reaching the last steps of the historic merger of two pioneers of telecommunications such as ONE and ALBtelecom, ONE Albania’s vision remains to lead ICT market, in offering the most innovative solutions and best services for Albanians and digitalization of the country through innovation.
